Think of a significant event in your life that happened in the fall. Create something about that event that does not include the typical signs of autumn (like changing leaves or pumpkins, for instance) but still gives the feeling of fall.
Now that sounds very challenging to me. I hope we can meet the challenge! (I hope I can come up with something....)

You can post written work here, in this thread. Visual Arts can be posted in the "photos", with a link here. If you have something that can't be posted here in our group, put a link up in this thread. I think putting a link up will make it easier for people find your work. You can include a brief description of the piece when you put up a link.

This does sound challenging shen but interesting. Cant think of one single significant even. But Autumn does remind me of growing up around when I was 15 and 16. Being out with friends - and not very good friends!! with the nights drawing in and the leaves falling to the ground. Even then I loved this time of year. I also remember other happy events at this time of year. Maybe this is why I love autumn so much. Because I remember feeling happy and protected at a particular time. When I was younger I remember having a coal fire. Towards the end of autumn it was lit. Strange that I remember happy times in autumn but sad times around the summer. -

I have recently moved so haven't been painting much lately....but I sure do miss it! Finally got settled in so am looking forward to bringing out those canvases and paint brushes and, hopefully, keeping up with the topics, though I can't think of a single fall event either, other than loving to walk barefoot through the fallen, crunchy leaves! -

Suggestion for next topic...a self portrait? Yeah, that's what I'm working on LOL. But I have an autumn painting to post. Just was done years ago and it's totally un-unique. Guess that disqualifies it anyhow. Next time! -
