I've had that. Sometimes it's related to a migraine. I think it's called prodrome...the time (even weeks) prior to a migraine---before the aura.
Also, numbness can be due to adrenaline.
I am doing so much better. I started on here last December. It has taken 10 months to get where I am today. I can catch my negative thoughts and stop them and move on rather than get swept away with them/
Xanax is the drug that works for me. GABA deficiency is what I think causes panic attacks in some of us and that is what Xanax improves.
Besides meds, changing the way I think is what has improved immensely over the past 10 months.

Lately I have been experiencing this weird numbness sensation in my lips. It usually only happens when I am anxious or tense. Anyone else have these? It ofcourse gets my mind racing thinking about how I might die...don't you love good ol' anxiety lol

I've had the numbness not only in my lips, but also in my fingers and toes. I think it's a part of the whole anxiety package. Everyone experiences different symptoms, some of us the same. I find that when I get the numbness and tingling it's from hyperventilating. You get to much oxygen in your blood stream. It's a good idea to carry a paper bag with you if you are prone to hyperventilating when anxious. You breath in the bag and it helps you to slow your breathing and keeps you from getting to much oxygen in your blood.
