I was sure Adam would win. I could not believe it when Ryan announced Kris Allen. I was totally surprised by the number of votes. I thought tonights show was pretty good. I enjoyed seeing all the different musical stars.

I couldn't believe it either, but so glad he did. I thought the show tonight was AWESOME. I totally loved it! How are they ever going to top that next year! I am so happy and was thoroughly entertained! -

I'm not totally surprised. The judges pimped Adam so friggin' much it got real old real quick. I think it's funny that they wasted all that money on Kiss & the special effects for Adam & he didn't end up winning. At least we won't have to hear him over & over again on the radio screeching the coronation song. Also, NO ONE BUT LIONEL RICHIE SHOULD EVER BE ALLOWED TO PERFORM "HELLO" AFTER DAVID COOK'S PERFORMANCE LAST YEAR!!!! Lol! No one else, but those 2 should ever be allowed to touch that song again!!!! -

lol I was thinking when Danny came out singing Hello that David Cook was probably thinking, "this sounds familiar....and yet so vastly different..." - I wasn't a fan of Cook's last year but even I can recognize that there was no need to have Danny sing that song tonight and it stomped a bit on Cook's memorable performance of it last year!
As for Kris, I am not surprised but I am definitely happy! I think he got a lot of Danny's supporters to vote for him and he generally appealed more to middle America where the major voting occurs. There are many who recognize Adam is talented but feel his wailing is a bit off putting (me included). Kris is more marketable, has a more radio friendly sound and style and I do think that whole "underdog" thing played a role too. I'm just stoked that for the first time in 8 years, there's a winner that I voted for all season! It's seriously the first time with this show that I have picked someone from the very start and supported them and they won! -
