Judges' Song Choices For Final 3

The final 3 received their song choices from the judges' on Friday during their home visits...

Randy picked "Apologize" by One Republic for Kris.

Paula picked "Dance Little Sister" by Terrence Trent D'Arby for Danny.

Simon picked Adam's song but the pick is still unclear. According to the rumors it is either "Wicked Game" by Chris Isaak or "One" by U2 (there are clips of him mentioning Simon picking both songs out on the internet so the assumption is that they maybe are having trouble clearing one so there's a backup, but no one is sure).

(Kara is writing the corronation song for anyone wondering...)

I am hoping Kris chnages his up because if not he will be straining for the high notes in the chorus. Danny's song I do not recall. I think I would rather Adam's song be One rather than Wicked Game merely because I love Chris Isaak and would hate to see him wail through it and utterly ruin what is one of my all time favorite songs.

So what is worse - getting a recent hit or an obscure older tune? Or maybe an older hit? Stretching Kris' upper register or Adam's lower register? What do you guys think of the judges' picks? Uninspired as usual??

  I think the pick for Kris is ok. I think he can pull it off. I looked up Danny's song on youtube & it's all right. I just don't know if too many people would actually know it. As for Adam, I totally agree with you. I don't want him ruining Wicked Game.

  From what I gather from other sites, a lot of people have been looking up the song Danny's been given so they will be more familiar with it, but those people aren't generally Danny fans to begin with so I don't know if it will make a difference. Generally speaking though, it can be a little tougher to sway casual voters to pick up the phone for you if you sing obscure songs because people tend to like to have a reference to go by as to how the song goes. At this stage of the game, the fanbases are what they are and will vote like mad no matter how they do, so it is the casual voters who they really need to appeal to.
  
  The Adam judge song controversy wages on...Ryan has been twittering that the guys were all told their judge's song and also what of their favorite songs (I guess they had to provide a list) got cleared for them to sing. So now people are thinking maybe Adam mistakenly gave away the two songs he will be doing. Having not seen the clips myself, I wouldn't be surprise if he received the text on what song was cleared from his personal want list before he got the Simon song choice and inadvertently gave out both not knowing it until it was too late. This may also explain why the media has not been certain either so no one has stated it, whereas Kris' and Danny's have been floated out in the media (but their personal choice has not been).
  
  I still am hoping he does not do Wicked Game though because I am willing to bet he will wail and hit those notes only dogs can hear and they will lavish him with praise while I clean up the blood pouring out of my ears from him busting my eardrums.
