how can you tell if a guys a jerk?i need 2 know..

my judgement in men seems to get worse and worse.im wonder why that is?...so before i even give dating a try agian.i think i want as many opinions as i can ..on how to tell before i get in if a guy could be a jerk...so common on ladies and gents let me know as many warning signs as you can..

  They say to judge how his family and friends are. Watch the wording they use to see how selfish they are such as using I alot. I also agree with Sinnaminn on body language.

  It's a minefield out there. Sometimes it's hard to tell right away. Upon first meeting, notice if the conversation is mainly about him. Of course, it's easy to try to draw someone out by asking a lot of questions, and an open person will respond, but at some point, does he refocus the conversation on YOU, and try to get to know about you? That's a biggie. Also, the way he treats waiters and waitresses is important. No, I'm serious.

  shevan,you've got to tell me about this waiter/waitress test..please...i feel its friday and i've got to wait til monday for my soaps..he-he..seriously let me know..also sinn &sunshine bodylanguage..im a dangling participle now let me know which ones 2 look 4..i cant believe no guys gave me a heads up ..i guess there is a boys club afterall...thanks yall..please get back with me!

  Watch out for the RED FLAGS and don't get so desperate that you over look or ignore them. If you see one fly run fast the other way! Trust your deepest instincts. Whatever they do that you think 'well maybe I could live with that',will only get worse with time and after your heart becomes too involved.

  You can tell what kind of guy a man is a lot of the time by how he treats his mother. You can also tell by how much he talks about himself and how inflated it sounds. Hope this helps you.

  also if he says everyone he knows ahas hurt him he was always right no nae just ever understood.red flags definitely..

  I mean just what I said. Watch the way he treats waiters and waitresses. It he's rude and impatient with them, or acts like they're slaves, instead of civil and friendly, that's a bad sign. I read that in a magazine once, and it turns out to be very true. The jerks are rude and mean to them.

  thanks shevan,that seems like a good one.i'll try it if i ever decide to try agian..being alone is a lot less complicated..piper and emmmm,also great suggestions..and tom,if he fidgits does that mean hes a jerk?..thanks 4 being the only man to man up so far..i'll keep checking this post ..maybe this time i wont wind up with another jerk..but im going to take my time like grammydbes suggests.thanks all!
