i have hep c and these docs know it but they still prescribe all these meds..i preferr herbs and natural remedies..i'll take meds when its very necessasary but not without reserching it first..but what they prescribe is rediculess..so is my spelling lol i took one quarter of a pain pill the first day and one quarter of a pain pill the second and thats it..i took my vitamin c and echenasia and so far so good..even took the stitch out cause it was sagging and bugging me lol did call the dentist after and he said it should be ok -

American MD's are not taught about herbs and natural remedies in med school. They are taught surgery, drugs, body, and the interaction of the 3. I have had more than 1 MD admit that what they learned in medical school/college about natural herbs/vitamins and food we all learned in grade school. PLUS the big constraint is the Medical Review Boards in each state. IF they prescribe by voice or written means anything NOT taught in American Med schools they are potentially in jeopardy of losing the medical license and a very LARGE income. So it is just easier/safer for them to just say "no" when asked if you need vitamins and herbs for good health.
Wouldn't you if you were in their shoes?
Ok enough of that I want to reply to Kathyrsh's reply-accurate spelling is not ciritical but helpful :-). But do you look at the testing that the particular brands of supplements actually do? Do you know about the processing they use? Or the facilities they have? Have you done the â??water testâ?? on your vitamins/herbs? Isnâ??t that how the pharmaceutical companies do testing on their products?
