The Bend in the Road

I wanted to share this poem with you all, it touched me and I think as I said in my journal that perhaps this illness is my "bend" in the road.........Anyway I hope you all enjoy it and have a great GF day.
The Bend in the Road

Sometimes we come to life's crossroads
And we view what we think is the end.
But God has a much wider vision
And he knows that it's only a bend-
The road will go on and get smoother
And after we've stopped for a rest,
The path that lies hidden beyond us
Is often the path that is best.
So rest and relax and grow stronger,
Let go and let God share your load
And have faith in a brighter tomorrow-
You've just come to a bend in the road.

Helen STeiner Rice''Great poet ''wonderful books on poems.. Can't remember where my book is . Gosh I had one ''at least over ''20 years ago.. Thanks Cate........that boy in your picture 'is a spitting image of my one grandson. Almost said 'that's Conner.. lol

Thank you so much for sharing this poem -- it it exactly where I am at --I just turned the bend and the road is looking brighter -- this helps me to enjoy the view

That is got to be where I am. Quitting Smoking, Gambling, Dealing with 3 Family Deaths, Financial Hardship, Struggling Business and so Much. I am not giving up, I am not going back to cigs or Gambling, I know this is God's Plan for me, I wake up each day keeping the hope. I think I have to endure this to come out to the right road. Not just when things get better go back to old ways.
