Posted by dsoucy - 11/23/08, 10:35 am
For all my professional friends here on DS, I would like to invite you to help ADL with a professional guest chat for End of November, or Early December, as well as future Guest Chats. Canidates should be experienced with Autism, and hold a degree or certification in their field. Qualified Speech, Ot's, and Behavioral Specialists would be greatly appreciated. We'd like Therapist of all sorts and experiiences to volunteer an evening of their time as a guest on ADL Chat Support Group to do a Q & A  with individuals, parents and families with an Autism spectrum disorder. Please contact me at your earliest convienence to discuss Guest opportunities for you. ADL chat is a great forum for Q and A as well as networking opportunities for professionals. Please consider volunteering for us.

Revamping ADL Center Plans

Fill you in on that later...

Special Hearts Club Sundays 9PM

Posted by dsoucy - 08/25/08, 09:32 pm

We have a new addition to ADL Chat Support! A new live instant chat support is being introduced, with a new moderator and theme. Each Sunday evening, at 9PM Eastern, MawBear will host the Special Hearts Club, and in her words this is going to be

"A place where grandparents raising special needs children can get together and relate to one another. This is our place to share stories, struggles, triumphs and to vent when we need to. A place where others will understand where we are coming from."

As the founder of ADL Center, I learn more and more of generous and loving Grandparents raising and taking care of their grandchildren. ADL Chat is honored to be a place for the ENTIRE  family, and that includes grandparents, and most certainly, those that are caring for their special needs grandchildren. So, if you know of a grandparent raising a special needs child, please share this information with them so that Sunday evenings, they can join MawBear on ADL Chat to discuss the unique challenges of raising a special needs grandchild.
