Oral Aversions and Medication

Posted on 12/02/08, 05:05 pm
Mini man has oral aversions, like most cihldren on the spectrum. I have had to actually take him to the Pediatrics Department of the local hospital to get help with giving him the antibiotics he needed. My question is this, does anmyone out there know of any homeopathic remedy for cough and colds I might be able to hide in his juice or water?

Amoxicilin, either crushable or better...in a capsule or pink liquid amoxicilin.

Ibuprofin, tylenol, can be crushed or ground.

Drinkable yoghurt flavored can be the base.

Homeopathic is a different matter. Echinacea is very very nasty (haven't you taken it sublingual) it's good for adult who knows what's best, but for a kid who is hypersensitive it is difficult to disguise. Children's Aspirin is tasteless enough, then crushed and put in yoghurt.

Yoghurt in small amounts is outside the category of "no dairy products". In small amounts it puts the flora back in the guts so you can digest food.
