Starting on my next cycle, I will be taking Prozac cyclically to help with the negative symptoms of PMDD. I'll let you all know how that goes!

By cyclically do you mean that you will be taking it and then going off it again? I am very interested to learn how that goes. Do you know if Prozac is stronger than Lexapro?

Prozac can be taken for the two weeks after ovulation or just when you think you need it. It agrees with some people and not with others. It is what is normally given for PMDD. I found it made me feel sick and a little headachy. It works tho, you feel better. I don't know how well any persciption meds work for this stuff anyway, because you are just putting a bandaid on a problem and they have heavy metals (such as copper) in them which in the long run make PMT/PMDD worse.

You know I'm only up for naturals tho, so I'm a bit bais.

All the best tho girls I wish you some sucess with what ever you try xxxx

I respect that you are trying the nature route... I tried that, and ended up much worse. At 39 (40 in October), I've decided that nature is a BEAST! ;) LOL ....

On Paxil now, 25mg ... first 2 days were odd, but doing better now. I'll keep all informed. :)

I found Prozac is the BEST antidepressant I have ever tried but since I told my shrink I have low sex drive, he stopped me on this right away. When asked, he said not because of that but Prozac remains in body for too long when you want to change meds, it would become very difficult, undesirable.
