September is Lymphoma Awareness month, and a group of women who met in the Infertility Support Group over three years ago are showering a fellow DailyStrength member with hats! Diem, who was recently diagnosed with lymphoma, was surprised to find a hat in the mail from a DailyStrength member she had been friends with, but never met with in person. This hat was only the first of many hats sent by her many DailyStrength friends, organized by Baby_Blues99. This is a heartwarming testimony that the support we give and receive on DailyStrength is not just virtual, but very, very real.
Each woman tells her own story, complete with photos of the hats they sent to Diem. Show your support with a Hug or a comment. You are in our thoughts, Diem!

DIEM'S STORY
"To tell you a little about me I am 29 years old, married with two children. I struggled through infertility for many years before I got pregnant with my first son. Then nine months later the biggest surprise of my life happened when I found out that I was expecting baby number two! Raising two little boys only 18 months apart in age has been an adventure for sure. Life has really thrown me some surprises; the latest is that a little over a month ago I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma." Read More...

HOW THEY MET
These women met on the DailyStrength Infertility Support Group in 2007, and the only thing they had in common at first was their struggle with infertility. They immediately became friends as they underwent various treatments and shared their experiences. As luck would have it, many of these friends got pregnant at the same time! Together, they formed the "Motherhood After Infertility or Loss" Member Group. Their bond grew stronger with the trials and joys of pregnancy, parenthood, and heartache. They have stayed friends through DailyStrength ever since, enjoying a strong support system and becoming almost family to one another. Read each woman's individual story below!

I joined DailyStrength after stumbling across it on the internet while researching infertility. My husband and I had been trying to conceive for 6.5 years at that time and I just needed to find some place where I could talk to others that were going through the same struggle. Diem and I joined DS right around the same time. Read More...
ATLMOMMY
I joined DailyStrength in March of 2007. At this time, my husband and I had been trying for our 2nd child for almost 11 months and had just begun fertility treatments. I found that I needed a support system to help me through my tears and heartache and needed to find other women who were in the same place as me. Read More...
BABYWISHES
After years of infertility, I joined DailyStrength. I was looking for encouragement, but I found more than that: I found friendship. For more than three years, I have had the joy of close relationships with four women I met at Daily Strength. Even after my circumstances changed (a surgery cured my infertility!), they continued to be my loyal friends (including the two who did not find success with pregnancy). Read More...

I found DailyStrength about 1 month after my second miscarriage. It became a lifeline for me. Lee Trask was one of my first friends to encourage and support me. I loved the online journaling and the fact that others were there to support me and know what I was going through. Not long after my second miscarriage I became pregnant a third time. I joined the pregnancy support community and learned much to my excitement that a pregnancy after loss community was being created. Read More...

LEE TRASK
I have been with DailyStrength since it began, in 2006. It was started by a friend of mine, (you all remember Doug, right?) and he asked me if I’d like to be involved. The idea of bringing people together to share their experiences around health issues sounded like an amazing idea to me. I had been through six years of infertility and miscarriages, and I never had anyone to talk to about it. Read More...
TARAM1980
I found Daily Strength during the lowest point of my life. I was 27 years old and had been married for a year. Six months prior I had decided to go off of birth control so my husband and I could start trying to get pregnant. After literally one try, I was pregnant! I couldn't believe it. The joy we felt was indescribable and I found it hard not to share my exciting news with everyone, even within a few weeks of finding out. Read More...
SUZYHOPES
I joined DS in November of 2006 while going through what would turn out to be my last IVF battle. I found DS while in a despair over my infertility battle. I had battled it for years on my own and with a therapist, but I really needed to find someone who had been there. I was so amazingly blessed to find the infertility group on DS. Read More...
MISYPRIS
Originally when I found DS, I was seeking a sense of familiarity amongst women who were struggling with infertility as I was. I was seeking support, yet I found a sisterhood. I found DS about 4 1/2 years ago through a search engine and amongst other online support groups that were listed, I tested them all out with the million questions that I had regarding infertility and the ongoing quest for motherhood.
