Lesson 6: Sending a Private Message

Step 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

Private Messages on DailyStrength is a way for you to communicate one-on-one with another member. Unlike the discussion boards, private messages can only be read by you and your recipient(s), and no one else. Private Messages are a great tool for having more personal conversations with your closest friends, or sharing a joke or a story with only your circle of friends.

Step One: Open up your inbox.

Every single DailyStrength member has an inbox. To open it, click the "My Messages" link in the left hand navigation. Tip: It would be wise to clear out very old messages every now and then. Sometimes, if you experience slowness when opening My Messages, it may be because you have too many messages to load. So popular! :)

Every member also has a Sent Message folder, where you can check to see what messages you've sent to others. You can also check to see whether a message WAS sent at all. To view it, click on the "View Sent Messages" link in the top right hand corner.

To write a new message to someone or to a group of people, click on the "Send a Message" link in the top left hand corner of the inbox, and go on to step two.

You can open a message, and then reply to it or forward it using the Reply or Forward links at the top of the opened message. Then follow step two.
