Rewrite: Diagnosis can be an insidious form of warping healthy responses to symptoms into dependence on treatment.

I wonder if the show would be able to handle that kind of voice. Feel free to get in touch, if you wish to interview me.

How about a rare but painful misunder stood disease AOSD Adult onset Still Disease its like haveing RA and Lupus in one disease and its hard to diagnose and harder to get a handle on . I have had it over a year now but am dealing with it because of my net work of friends with the disease. Not many people know about this disease it would be good to get the word out. Im 33 years old and it has really impacted my family and my life as a young women.
Thanks

Hello,
I wish they would have a show and include TMJ,or jaw joint disorder. This is a dibilitating condition, many people are in chronic pain cannot chew food anymore, clench or lift anything of medium weight.

I have this and it takes away your quality of your life, effects your friends, and family because people cannot deal with it and don't understand it.

This is a hidden disibility, we have a right to have this discussed so people can be helped and diagnosed correctly and have help with insurance if it is not a surgery.

Many people deal with severe depression, insomnia and social isolation and dibilitating pain. Some people will have a jaw that locks open, some will lock close and many have arthritis in their joint, sooooo many complications. People also end up with eating disorders.

Please include this serious condition.

MIGRAINE HEADACHES!!! They have touched on migraines but I haven't seen anything really dedicated time-wise on causes and solutions. I would love to share what I've finally figured out cause and solution for me. It's simple really. Causes:Stress and Hormone Imbalance...Solutions-Quit my job as a nurse{now days pretty impossible to go without a paycheck} I am blessed to have a husband who has a full-time job.For people who cannot take meds such as Imitrex the Medication that works for me: Exedrin Migraine 2 tabs right at the beginning twinge of headache pain. If nauseated and vomiting I give myself prescribed Torradol Intramuscular shot. Works 99% of the time. Took yrs and many different meds and lots of $ and several doctors to be at a place where I'm not scared to wake up in the morning...

How about suggesting them to do a show on renal disease and how to avoid kidney failure. Kidney failure is called a silent killer because most people aren't unaware that hypertension (high blood pressure) damages the kidneys.
This would be such a great topic since I just read on the UNOS website (www.UNOS.org) that every 11 minutes one more person is added to the kidney transplant list.

thanks!

what about RSD (reflex sympathetic distrophy) (also now known as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS))? this is a chronic pain syndrome that is, indeed, very complex. i uwould love to see more info out there about it. its not as rare as once thought, but many patients feel looked-over and left out because it is so misunderstood. pass this along, please? thanks!

I have had issues with anemia since college when I was dx. Something I had to find out on my own is that you need to use slow release Fe with vit C and Folic Acid(B9) for it to be most potent. Plus I try to eat more fiber as it constipates me. Plus, I do Not to take it with calcium as it binds to this vitamin and you just pass it out. I have also tried to incorporate more iron in my diet like spinich salad. So that I have fewer issues with this as the years have past.

I would have no problems using webcam to bring up these things on the show. However, I live near chicago and would not be willing to pay for airplane ticket to NY or CA to be on the show.

PS My daughter had Bell's Palsy when she was about 11 months old.

While I do not wish to participate, I have had Bell's Palsy, Tinnitus. The Bell's came on almost overnight and took about 6 weeks to go away. This happened over 15 years ago and I took a steroid-type drug, I believe. The left side of my face was paralized, and I had terrible headaches. While Meniere's Discease along with Tinnitus still occurs off and on. No incidences recently (within two years). For Meniere's taking one of the seasick illness perscriptions helps. My daughter also has Menieres. She still takes a pill at bed time. Currently, FM, and artritis are ongoing.

Thanks for posting, so that others may respond. While I may not be able to watch the show, I would be interested in watching the outcome.
