We have to be grateful for there are health news update that will keep us aware of the new health breakthrough. Keep posting the latest health news.America is in the middle of controversy as Obama introduced the health care reform. In relation to this, Section 1233 provides for what's called an "end of life" consultation from a doctor with patients that are elderly or gravely ill. The HR 3200 bill doesn't mention what the peanut gallery says it is – euthanasia. It's only legal in 2 states. (That's why it can't be.) However, a living will or a DNR order (do not resuscitate) are legal everywhere. If you think euthanasia is covered in Section 1233, get some cash loans and get a hobby.

Paul, I really miss your weekly updates about DS. I understand wanting to share great information and I say go for it. HOWEVER, I would like to suggest that you also include your weekly DS updates. More people than you think want to know and I'm sure you know there are many more who read than leave comments.

We like to know what's going on here and have the opportunity to comment on changes before they happen. For example DS just installed yet another change that creates a higher risk for repetitive movement injury. (sorry to keep harping on the repetitive motion injury subject, but it's a biggie). This new change has shortened our friends list on the home page, once again creating more, not less hand movements. Sometimes techs and programmers, while tho they have the best interests of a clean & smooth running site at heart, end up creating more work & confusion for the user.

Then it's made even worse when the change isn't announced. For example: there is a place on the home page for Doug's announcements, but it's not annotated as far as when he's updated (other than his affirmation stuff on the friend's activity on the home page) OR what the update is about. AGAIN, that means more hand movement, more searching, many times to no avail.

I hope you will take my comments the way there are meant - as constructive suggestions based on medical facts (just as any physical or OT therapist). As a continuous/quality improvement manager who has overseen many kaizen & rapid continuous improvement events, I can tell you that ergonomics is a huge part of insuring a work smarter not harder environment.

There are LOTS of people on this site in chronic pain (hand, neck, shoulder, etc) due to arthritis, FM, joint injury, repetitive motion injuries, and so on. So this most recent change will just make things even worse for them. I've said this before: in 10-15 yrs, one of the biggest medical complaints will be hand issues due to repetitive movement. The thumb joint is the most used joint in the body. Unless website designers/programmers/techs start creating site navagation that takes fewer steps soon, it will happen. We end users have two choices, use websites and (many unknowingly) risk injury or forgo using the websites that continue to make them harder to use. Either way, website designers are responsible because they are not creating ergonimically [user] friendly site navigation.

I do mean to belabor this point because it is an up and coming SERIOUS internet health issue.

Now, back to my original request... Paul, please start posting your weekly updates about DS again. Thanks!!!
