Let me start by saying how very sorry I am to hear that you have had to go through this terrible experience. I cannot even begin to imagine how difficult it has been for you and your partner.
You can begin trying again as soon as your doctor gives you the OK. He or she can give you the best indication of when your body is healed and rested, and ready to take on the rigors of pregnancy again.
But only you can know when you are ready emotionally to go through another pregnancy. I know that after each miscarriage I had (I had three in a row), I really had to recoup my center of gravity, so to speak, and be ready to let the miscarriage go completely, and be open to the next baby that was potentially coming into my life, (and I had to be ready to deal with the natural and completely normal anxiety that came with it).
Each couple is different. I know that if you trust your instincts, and listen to your heart, that you will make the perfect decision about when it is best for you and your partner to become pregnant again.
If there is anything I can do, please let me know.
Best,
Lee

I have heard from literature and the support groups that coming out pregnant is very dangerous after surgery.
It was told to me to have a secure birth control before surgery...
It is different for every couple. In our instance we lost triplets which had to be delivered at 21 weeks. It tooks us about 6 months before we started to think about pregnancy again.
