 I've had <a href="http://www.dailystrength.org/treatments/Stents" onclick="treatmentHotLink('http://www.dailystrength.org/treatments/Stents')" class="treatmentlink" title="Learn more about Stents">stents</a> twice, both times for kidney stones. I've never had a blockage but I did have stones removed through the basket retrieval approach two different times and afterwards they placed <a href="http://www.dailystrength.org/treatments/Stents" onclick="treatmentHotLink('http://www.dailystrength.org/treatments/Stents')" class="treatmentlink" title="Learn more about Stents">stents</a>.

			<description><![CDATA[I had a stent inserted for one of my larger stones, they left it in for a couple of days after my lithotripsy so that all of the pieces would come down out of the kidney into the bladder, no problems. I wouldn't think it would have any affect on our kidneys. Sorry , I know they're (stones) painful.

			<description><![CDATA[Norma, normal kidneys are not under the ribs but with PKD, as cysts grow they will take the path of least resistance, in some cases that means under the ribs.

			<description><![CDATA[Late today we could not locate the stone on X-ray.  They then did a CT-scan to make sure it's not still hiding somewhere but I won't know the results until early tomorrow morning.  If the stone is gone the lithotripsy will be cancelled.
