Hey!! My little boy is 25 monthes and still not walking.. He will stand up and take about 5 to 12 steps and sit down. I was talking with another mom who has a child with WS and she said her child had some problems with depth perception. Has anybody else had this problem?? I know it is typical of ws children but how did your therapist handle this??? I am kind of starting to worry about him not walking,,

Norah is 22 1/2 months old and she is not walking yet. She started crawling about 2 months ago. She can't stand up on her own or take any steps yet. So actually it is encouraging to read that your little boy is standing and stepping now. It would be great if Norah could do that in 3 months. Norah's mom is expecting another baby in January and if Norah could just stand it would be a big help to her mom.
A lot of WS parents say their children don't walk until 3 so apparently patience is the rule. I don't know how depth perception is treated, but I can see where that is an important thing to be aware of as the child starts moving around. Take care. Sue

Now he has crawled for nine monthes.. They will get there soon though and we will be tired of chasing them!!!

Hi Annie
Try not to worry, all WS children are different, and will do it in their own time. My Lad didn't crawl until he was nearly two, and didn't walk until about 3-4 years.
