My 13 year old son with ws starting having absanthe like seizures about 3 years ago. He will freeze up for a period of time up to 45 minutes or so. These come and go. He had them many times for about a month and then they went away. He had about one a year for next two years. Then last week he started having several again. Before, After numerous tests by the ped. neurologist, he told us that they weren't really seizures because they were not effecting the brain. He didn't know what caused them. He believes they are not part of williams syndrome.
I have a friend with a 30 year old daughter with WS. She does the exact same thing. And, her neurologist could never find a cause either. I believe this might be part of some WS. Do you know anyone who has this kind of thing happening and also has WS? If so, let me know. Perhaps we can get a doctor looking into this. Posted on 05/03/09, 12:05 pm |

Hello,
My daughter is only 20 months, but she also has wierd seizures that last for just a short time. I was told by someone that she was "steming" which kind of restarts her system when she is overstimulated. Let me know if you find out anymore about this.
