My grandson has Williams Syndrome. He was diagnosed at 19 months and has WS with Hypercalcimia. The high high calcium levels caused his skull to prematurely close and caused pressure on the brain which let to him loosing his vision, We are still working on trying to keep the high calcium under control and working with his blindness. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

" Wow, I didn't realise that high Calcium levels could do that, that's awful.
My Son had a very high calcium level, and when it was finally discovered, he was put on a low-calcium milk (formula), which really helped. "

" my child has high calcium levels also.. we have delt with this since last july. He is calcilo formula and a low calcium diet. he can eat foods with calcium 2% and lower. He also had an iv treatment called pamidronate two times.. which is an iv drip in the hospital that takes like 12 hours. His calcium levels are down to the range of 9.5 to 10.5!!! He started at 14.8.. This treatment and diet worked for us!! Good Luck!! "
