My New Inspiration

I'm 55. Felt like my life was pretty much over after losing my husband. I started focusing on just getting through old aged. I don't have children, no siblings, so all my life I figured my old age would be bleak. Then I married my husband and gained a terrific step-daughter. I saw my future as rosy. Then he passed and I had to accept that I would be alone. I love my step-daughter, but I can't expect that she's going to come alone and help me when I'm old. I can't tell you how many times I woke up nearly screaming. Life expectancy is over 100 in my family.

The other day I came upon the story of a 75 year old body builder. Her life is not like mine and we have few things in common, but this woman has inspired me. If I do what she did, I can have a different future. Anyhow, I figured I'd pass this alone on this group. She was featured on the newscast, but I'm posting a more in-depth youtube clip.

" this was great Truhal.

i'm glad you got some inspiration!!! We ALL need it ESPECIALLY now!!!

I am inspired by so many people I meet, and so many things that happen and yet people have the will to go on again.

One of my clients had a little girl beautiful only to find at two weeks of age she had neauroblastoma, and it's been a fight for the last 4 years. the little girl is alive and beautiful still at 4 years old having been through three surgeries recurrent cancers, and crushed ribs that have to be straightened so she can stand. Still beautiful beyond compare.

they decided although scared to have another child just recently. another beautiful little girl, and healthy!! 6 week check for the mom and she has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. she will be going through surgery and follow up treatments to try to stay here for her TWO beautiful children and husband.

the strength of this family and what they ahve been through and still going through all the while holding on to love and life! LAUGHING?

they are the definition of inspiring to me. Everyday I thinkk of these people and then I KNOW I can KEEP TRYING no matter what I feel at a time or two. I CAN TRY.and with that knowledge? i can MAKE IT.

HUGS to all Diane "

" Digging my ditch - pumping my irrigation water out,
cleaning my horse stalls, rubbing my horses legs down, fixing the broken fence the elk busted again (at least this time it was not my horses rear end rubbing it broke), weed eating my tall grass along the fence line so if fire season comes it won't be a fire hazard...
mowing the lawn, washing the dogs, than I need to paint my porch, stain my deck, water the pasture and hillsside so tall grasses won't dry up too soon -----I am too tired to exercise....
Than vacuuming, dusting, well it is inspirational...

HUGS "

" Same here, Goldenear. I'll never want muscles like that, but I'm thinking strength that will get me through life. Of course, given the choice, I'd rather have those muscles than one of those walkers advertised on TV. "
