Ebay Income

O.k., so here's my secret... I have a strong need to scour thrift shops and find unique crazy things for cheap, so I have built up quite a treasure chest. Last month I finally took the plunge and started selling on ebay- and whoa, I found that people buy the quirkiest stuff. This summer I'm going to expand to yard sales. Anyway, I'm being successful and my Paypal account is building before my eyes. I wanted to share this for those who need extra income and love to shop, or for those who need something to do to fill their time. This is a great way to channel your shopping need and declutter your house at the same time. You can turn this skill into your own little business and it's so easy! All you need is a computer and digital camera and ebay will walk you through the steps. This is a win-win situation for me because I'm a teacher with very limited time and I'm able to set my own hours. Best of all, I was able to hire someone to help me with lawn work.. I pray for peace to everyone's hearts as we forge through this journey.

" Great to hear of your success!!!

I have never bought or sold anything on e-bay, but after cleaning out and organizing I told myself that e-bay was going to be my next "job." I've have boxes and boxes of some of my mother-in-laws items that we have moved for years, and I've decided that someone else may be able to use them instead of me just storing them. I'm a little intimidated about the whole process and just getting started. I also don't know how to price my antique pieces (all small, not furniture) and I don't want to be taken advantage of. I've also heard that you need a good history as a seller to get people to consider your items. So any advice you can send my way would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Cathy "

" Cathy, you can start off by logging onto ebay and making an account. The site will show you how to do this- it's pretty user friendly. Then just search for the item you want to sell to see how much others are selling it for. It's also possible to see what your item has sold for in past auctions on ebay. This gives you a sense of what to charge. "

" Anyone want to go together and form a personal club for us to share ideas, what works etc.as we each start something indivdually and be able to bounce advice and support off of as we move forward with this idea??? You all really got me thinking on this one!! After what we have all been through who can't use extra income, I know I sure could!!!

" My six year old has been selling his wooden trains on eBay and made £80. He is using the money to buy new toys, and he understands that mummy doesn't have as much money as when daddy was alive, so this is how he's going to buy himself new things x "

" I'm an eBay buyer...just can't bear to part with my "treasures" LOL...although I probably should, 'cause this house is so small! I still have knick-knacks, what-nots, decorative items that have been packed since Snake & I bought this little cottage & moved into it, in 2004! Just don't have room to display all my "collections" like I did in house we rented for so many years. But can't bear to part with stuff either...LOL...not quite a hoarder, but almost...LOL
How do I find you on eBay, Zakki, to see if you have something I "just CAN'T live without"? LOL

" Don`t waste your limited time with yard sales, no-one wants to pay for what you have! Sounds like what you are doing is working.
I do just the opposite, I buy jewelry on-line then take it to stores and sell it for a small profit. It amazes me that some people just don`t look!It is nice to hear that others can do things in their spare time to make $ and not just work all of the time, like I do. God bless... G- "

" Hey Zakki, Great job!

I have been a long time ebay seller since 98', and those were the days that literally everything sold for the beyond reason price.
Lately, have been not selling as much, my new job is very time demanding.
But, it is fun, isn't it, and the extra $$ sure help.
Best of luck! Lol, and it does indeed justify our need to get that deal at the thrifts!
Send me an invite when you start the group.
