How do I stop binge eating?

I'm always trying to lose weight, but I'm never able to make it through a few days without binge eating. I don't know what to do anymore, I kinda feel hopeless. I've tried so many things, but nothing really works. Whether its 1 day or 5 days or eating right, I eventually give in and just eat like crazy. Any advice??

Hmm, it may be because you feel like you are restricting yourself - that you "aren't allowed" to have certain foods. So, after a while of eating healthier, you get subconsiously anxious and something triggers you to eat those "bad" foods, and then you over-eat because you feel like you might as well eat more if you've already "screwed up" once.
I do the same thing. My only advice could be to try and change your perspective. First of all, do not think of eating healthier as a diet. It will most likely put you in the wrong mindset. Secondly, Rome wasn't built in a day! Don't punish your mind or body when you want to have a cookie or if you really shouldn't have had that extra serving. Remember - it's okay! It's okay to slip up once in a while, even if you have been doing well for months. This should be a change of your whole lifestyle, which means changing your thoughts from the last 19 years. It's going to be tough. But try to do small things each week. For example, from this week and on you can pledge to eat at least one fruit a day. Maybe the next week you will vow to drink more water daily. And for all the weeks after that, you can just keep adding little things, so you slowly get used to them without thinking you have to punish yourself. I wish you the best, Harley.
