Two yrs ago, when my daughter was 2, my left eyebrow turned white & I got a gray streak in my hair above it. Now, I'm getting white spots on my hands & on one wrist. So I did some checking online & found out about Vitiligo. I'm planning to go to a doctor, but am waiting for my health insurance to kick in. It starts in July.

Any advice about what kind of doctor to go se?. I don't want to wast money going to someone who can't help me. Any other advice you have will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Sorry, posting this twice. First I did the Ask for Advice tab then saw there were only 2 post there. I was afraid no one would see it, so I posted it here as well.

" 1. Consult a dermatologist ( a medical doctor specialises in skin disprder) to do a conclusive diagnosis, if you suspect it's vitiligo.

2. If indeed you have vitiligo, then the next question is ... Vitiligo: Can or Cannot Be Cured?

You may find the blog posting by this EX-vitiligo patient who had 100% repigmentation of his vitiligo helpful.

He warned that your dermatologist may be your friend and enemy. Why?
