Video Game Abuse

I was sitting playing a video when I should be looking for a job and I realized I've been sitting here for pretty much the last two weeks. As I started losing in my game, I had this running thought, "When am I going to treat this problem seriously, like the addiction that it is. I know I'll never get to do all the things I want to do in life with this addiction hanging over my head, and I don't know what to do. I've tried erasing my games tons of times and I always buy new ones (at the discount store). I don't know what to do and I need help.

" Get into nature, get to know more people outside of the gameing world - small steps at a time. I know my brother has had serious shy problems and the computer has only fed that. He now has a job and just that in itself even though its 3 days a week he's changed so much for the better! It really shows!
Your missing out on the real world, which can be better than any game world.
Find a counsellor and some friends who don't game.
Good luck! "

" I know this is going to sound stupid because you've already said that you have tried deleting them. But stop. And I mean STOP. You don't have to give up games to lead a normal life, but you've given up a normal life for games. I love video games, play them often, and I still lead a normal life. I love my girl, I hang out with friends, I attend my college courses now, all because I chose to give up my games to lead my life. "
