I stopped in by my local Jewel food supermarket store and as I was walking around I came across a stand with mark down sale stuff. On the top were three 3'x5' American flags all thrown around . They looked like a pile of used clothes at the resale shop. My friends .....it hurt me so bad to see that and to top it off there was a foreigner looking through the stuff. I folded each flag and took them to the manager. I told about it and said that many people have died and fought for this flag. please treat it with respect.
She apologized and said they would take care of it. Today I will follow up with a letter to their corporate office. Seeing that... kind of woke me up .......I will now be looking wherever I go for our great, precious American flag that's being abused .... I will no longer let that happen on my watch .... NO MORE ! I fought for it once and I'll continue fighting for it.... In the name of all our brothers and sisters have given there lives for it and we the Veterans that fought for it.... I agree.. I too do the same as you, and I also tell people to shout-up when ever our National Anthem or The Pledge is going on.
I can't tell you how many fights I have gotten into and how many close calls I have had. Bob, you keep doing what your doing if more people would stan up for their beliefs the world would be a lot better. Thank you so much for your service!!!

With Veterans Day soon upon us this is a great reminder that many people today have no respect for their Flag, their Country, and their Military. I will be keeping a sharp eye out for any abuse of any of the three. I did almost get into a fight Memorial Day during ceremonies held in town when a fat dude just kept on talking to his wife during the opening prayer, and singing of the Anthem. I bit my tongue when he did not salute during the singing or take off his hat. But when they stated playing taps and he continued talking, I flat told him to shut the fuck up or we will both spend the night in jail. Three other big big men repeated what I said. He shut up.
Thanks for the reminder Bob that our fight for freedom is never over. Peace my Brother.....Peace.

Count me in....
I'll get with the local Vet'a here and talk about what kinda changes we can make as far as the way the flag can be treated. {presented in stores, etc} and come up with a petition to send to Sen, Coburn... This can take awhile so well wait and see.

Yes, there are too many soldiers "right now" fighting and dieing for our country and Flag. I will not permit anyone to abuse it. I don't care if I go to jail or put someone in the hospital............I don't care ! IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN ! Not on my watch .....And my watch is 24 / 7. Thanks again for the support . Bob

Hi Brothers and sisters.
Thanks again for joining me on my/our Flag crusade. I just talked to by Brother in Arizona and he's going to pass the word around there too. He's a Vet Vet, 1st artillery forward observer. (I think?) 1965-66. Things were rocking then ! Ha,ha. I'm also thinking of creating a Save the flag web site if there is not one already ........A good one ! Everyone have a good night and Sunday. ………………………………..................................................................................................................... I've been fighting the holiday blues /depressed here for the last couple of days, but I'll snap out of it. Seems like my x and all of her family that outcaste me , see my two Grandchildren and not me. It’s been two years and time for the kids to visit Grandpa’s house for a holiday also . I’m not the one who ran off and wanted a divorce…Why should I suffer more . !!! I told my son about it. They're the bad people ..NOT ME . ………………………………..................................................................................................................... (Not on my watch !) You hang in there buddy. Holidays suck when you get older cause they come too damned fast. Seems like I just celebrated Memorial Day and Christmas is almost here. Shit....presents to buy. And Bob, if you can't bring your problems to us---who can you bring them to?
