What do you think makes a married man have a vasectomy, when his wife is already unable to have more children due to a partial hysterectomy. The question I ask is truely for a girlfriend of mine. when she told me I automatically jumped to a conclusion. But maybe I am wrong? They had been seperated to for a while I should ad. Now they are trying to reconcile. I need some objective opinions please.

Maybe you should have led your post with the part about them being separated. When did he have the vasectomy? Prior, during, or after the separation? That's a big variable in the equation. If anytime other than when they were separated, i'd be wondering why myself. Obviously he must know that she is infertile, right? In this case, it sounds to me that pregnancy is of less concern than sexually transmitted deseases. If there was any infidelity, did the cheater put themself or their partner at risk?
