I posted this on the Fibromyalgia board earlier and someone mentioned that since aspirin made it feel better, than perhaps I need to check into blockages...and I'm curious if anyone has had this particular pain and/or issues and any suggestions for it.
Thanks for your help! xoxoxo, Jennifer "I've had FM for since my early 20's (I'm now 44) so I'm use to the changes in the areas of the pain and pretty familiar with my pain (you know what I mean?)...but here lately I'm not real sure where this pain in my hips is coming from...and if it's FM related or bone related. It seems to be coming more from the sides of my hips...where the ball meets the sockets...and it seems to increase when I do alot of standing and walking. It makes it extremely difficult to sleep on my side which is the only way I can sleep. Last night I had my usual mega doses of Advil, Norco, Methadone, Tylenol, MG, Omegas...bed buddy (not talking about my hubby)...nothing was helping until I took two aspirin and boom...instant relief. Not complete relief but can't figure out if it was the aspirin on top of all the other meds or just the aspirin itself. Unfortunately, Aspirin is the one thing my stomach can't handle much of these days...it took me forever to be able to take the Advil on a regular basis. Who has these hip issues and any idea of how to tell it is the FM or perhaps something more arthritic related...ortho related. Any ideas on how to make it better? Any ideas on how to make it disappear altogether???....lol....just thought I'd give it a try :)" Posted on 05/29/09, 01:05 pm |

I have been getting these hip pains for more than 5 months. I tried accupuncture and meds,,
I am not sure what I have and its frustrating because I have to visit the doctor and I have to pay the copay to the PCP just to be referred to a specialist. I hate going to the pcp knowing she can't help because its not her area.. I am thinking of writing her a letter about how I have been having hip pian. All I want is an xray to try and figure it out. I am not sure if I need an x ray or what ? I have had venous surgery in my left leg and its my left hip that is bothering me... I am going to accupuncture for spider vein treatments. I am trying to not to eat a lot of salt. I am confused on what is the right thing to do for myself. Now if it were someone else I can help them in a minute. so odd.. lol sorry for rmabling.. its just been bothering me for a long time,, and I had noone to talk to who would understand.. thanks
