Has anyone out there with varicosed vens also had a DT. I have had a varicosed vein in my left leg for 12 yrs. It has become chronically irritated and phlebitis every month along with my periods. On Jan 10 I had a DVT go to my lungs (bilateral multi pulmonary emboli). Any one else expericen this and feel it was from the varicosed vein even though the Dr frown and do not believe it is? Sure wish this system had a spell checker;-)

" I have not had any blood clots go to my lungs, but I have a friend that has blood clots in her lungs, and is on warfarin. Sometimes I do not think the doctors know what they are on about, no one can know everything about what happerns in our bodies. What do you think? "
