" I noticed no one's gotten back. I am 35 and have this problem. I have actually had a few of them since I was 13 (in ballet). I think it's mostly hereditary. Also, I am a little overweight, and that affects it. I have heard of some "natural" treatments for them. I have them here, but haven't taken them religiously to mark any improvements. They are horse chestnut extract, and this Vein Essential complex from a vitamin company. If interested, I can get the info. for you...just let me know...Hope this helps! "

" Venacure is right. Also, Birth control pills and prolonged sitting contribute to the development of varicose veins. You can try the endovenous laser therapy. You can click on this site: http://doctorfinders.com/endovenou... "

" If I may add, "do something". I have recently had a DVT that went to both of my lungs (PE). The varicosed vein that had been giving be trouble for years (ie. thrombo phlebitis) is at the root of this much more serious problem I have now. I put off doing anything because my insurance company has excluded benefits related to varicosed veins for the first 5 yrs of the policy. Charming! Well, all I can say is, "do not to as I have done, do as I say, and seek help." Varicosed veins are more than ugly they can be life threatening (I have not had many dr's agree with my last statement- but look at what happended to me). "

" Heredity, extra weight, standing a lot, not exercising all contribute to them. "

" I am only 20 going on 21 and I have some varicose making their way to the surface. I moderately exercise most.y b/c I do landscaping as my job and I am up and down on my knees and squatting and stretching. I think it is heredity, I see girls my age and they have perfect legs and not single mark on them, while I have even just regular veins close to the surface and unsightly, and I often wonder what I am doing wrong.
