i am finding local support for uteran cancer basically nill. would love to hear from other ladies that have had this experience. from time i had biopsy and then found out i had grade 1 endometrial uteran cancer till now has been a whirlwind. that was may 2009. surgery was 6/8/09. i am obese and doc did a full hysti with an abdominal cut about 16 in. from above my navel down to bottom of stomach, 38 staples. i am still recovering slowing with still about an inch opening just below navel with some drainage coming out. doc says i am progressing well, but i am alone and scared yet hopeful and wanting to hear and help others. my yearly pap was normal so if i did not press my reg. gyno due to not feeling well, we would have not discovered my cancer. i want others to know to trust their body and listen and get early help! Thanks.

Hi..I have been looking for a support group also. I too was diagnosed with uterine cancer and had my surgery on June 30th. It was stage 1B, with a grade 3 tumor..not the best kind...so I am in my 3rd week of radiation and because cancer cells were found in the washing, I will be having chemotherapy as well. Yes it's pretty scary...by God does give me courage. I hope you are doing well...

hello and i am glad you wrote a note to me. we can form our own support group. even in life we are strangers, but once C gets us we all become friends and have to support each other to drive down the beast of cancer., please email me at auntjdogg182@aol.com to let me know more about you if you want to keep it more private or you can contact me here on this site. i have a few ladies here that i keep in contact with and have been a bright light in my recovery. i did not have to have any further treatment after surgery, but i go for my 1st checkup and pap on sept. 29th so we will see how that goes. my doc was very pleased that it didnt travel further, but one cell is all it takes. i am trying to stay optimistic but it is hard. fear can get to you, but i also was re-born in my spriitual body during my recovery and part of all that worry has left me for Jesus and God and the Holy Spirit now fill me where before i was alone and empty. so please keep the Faith and share with me or anyone on here. we all are in the same boat, treatment or not, we all need each other and i want to help you more than you know. by doing that, YOU will also help me. you are not alone. your friend -- jo

Hi. How are you feeling today? Yes! stay optimistic..the devil will whisper all kinds of discouraging and fearful thoughts...keep the Faith..God will get you through this. I agree with you, on knowing and trusting your body. I feel if I ignored the symptoms much longer, my outcome would have been worse. The cancer was contained in my uterus, none in my ovaries or cervix or lymph nodes, but like I mentioned, there were positive cells in the washing that they feel came from the turbulence of surgery...and chemo is an added insurance that the cancer cells will be nuked before they can cause damage anywhere else. Keep in touch and let me know about your appt on the 29th. I will be praying for you.

Hi, I was diagnosed with uterine cancer and had surgery on Dec. 11, 09. I had a total histi with an cut like yours. I had 25 radiation treatments and 3 HDRs. The treatments were not as bad as I had thought they would be. I was lucky I didn' t need chemo. I basically am feeling well but I still am tired. I was hoping to find someone that had radiation and find out how long the tiredness would last. Most of what I know is from what I read on the Internet. Just remember God doesn't give you more than you can handle and you will get thru it just fine.
