Any Stage 3 survivors out there?

I'm in my fifth year of remission from stage 3C uterine cancer. I was given a 50-50 chance of living five years, so I'm incredibly grateful. I can't escape the anxiety of wondering when it may return. I would love to hear from other survivors. What's your story?

" Whether you realize it or not you are a big reminder that it will be okay to people like me. I am 26 years old I am a wife and mother. My daughter is only 6 years old still a baby in a sense. I just started remission I have stage 3 uterine sarconoma and the radiation caused a stroke. All I can say is you have made my day. I have been to afraid to reach out. You are the first person I have reached out to. If you can make five years then that gives women like me hope. All we can do is take it one day at a time but make it one heck of ride. Thank you for giving me hope that if you can ride it out for as long as you have we all have that chance. Bless you I will keep you in my thoughts and I am sending you warm wishes and hugs ROBYN "

" Hello.. my aunt had also the same staging of cancer as yours. She underwent total hysterectomy 2 years ago not to mention also a modified radical mastectomy in the year 1998. It's such a blessing that she has a remission of her cancer. http://doctorfinders.com/oncologis... "

" I was diagnosed in Feb.2007,stage 3B. I had 33 radiation and 6 chemo treatments. I will be 2 years clear in December. Just live each day,and keep yourself occupied. Re-connect with people you miss, and don't expend energy on people that drain you. "

" Hi I got uterine sarcoma cancer in 2000 and I was in stage 3 or 4 (borderline for advanced stage.) The doc. told me my chemo would give me 50/50 chance so it was a bet. Before the chemo, I had surgery and was told I could not be cured and was not told how long I could live (10 years if slow, soon if high-grade.) Well it was bad. I thought I was dying but I didn't want to give up yet. So after the chemo, I got cured! It has been 9 years now. The type of cancer is so rare that I am considered cured by doctors.
Do not give up but it is hard... Good luck!
Nina "
