I noticed that there doesn't seem to be a lot of posts especially by those under 40 that have had or are currently dealing with endometrial cancer.

I was 36 when I was diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer. If it hadn't have been for the fact that my DH and I were TTC the cancer probably would have gone untreated for a VERY long time since I didn't have any symptoms indicating a problem.

The endometrial cancer was caught extremely eary. I'm not sure what stage it was at. The Dr. did recommend a hysterectomy but also gave us the option of trying Megace for 3 months. If the Megace had not worked, he said he would push for a hysterectomy.

Thankfully, the Megace worked and the cancer is now in remission. We received the good news the day before DH and I had our 1st Wedding Anniversary. Since May 2006, I've had 5 additional biopsy's and/or D&C's w/ hysterocopy to make sure the cancer has not returned.

We continue to try having a baby. In November 2006, we did get pregnant but miscarried. Now, as of 10/30, we are in the 2 week wait after our 3rd IVF cycle. We have 2 more Frozen Embryo Cycles and 1 IVF cycle that we can do if this IVF cycle does not work.

" My uterine cancer was found by our fertility doc. I am only 35 and had a full hysterectomy. It took care of the cancer but now we can't get pregnant like we wanted so much. I understand your frustration. We got married May 3rd last year, ob/gyn found the endometrial hyperplasia in July, had my first D&C in August then a PAP in Oct both coming back clean. In Feb we found the lining thickening again and some polups so did a 2nd D&C mid Feb, biopsy came back with cancer. Hysterectomy was Mar 5th. So here it is, a few days before our first aniversary and our lives are very changed. We are blessed that the surgery worked and it got all the cancer before it could spread and I'm alive to celebrate this first aniversary but it has been a lot to handle in our first year.

I wish you luck with the baby! "

" Hi all - I was diagnosed in Jan. 2009 at age 38 and am currently stage 3/4, grade 3 undergoing treatment. Just finished 6th round of chemo. Can everyone let me know how long ago they were diagnosed and in what stage? and if they're in remission - how long it's been and what treatment you had for how long?

I'm afraid there's no one around to tell about having been stage 3 or 4 and survived... "

" I'm relieved to hear that I'm not the only one out there!! I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, stage 1 grade 1-2 a couple of days before my 30th birthday! I have no children and my husband and I would love to have a family. I was put on Megace for 3 months (same as Pam - 4 pills a day) and had a biopsy last week! My results came back that the Megace didn't work! I have a follow up with my oncologist next week and I know he is going to push for a hysterectomy. Has anyone heard of any other alternatives for treatment. And is it physically impossible to carry a baby when you have endometrial cancer - I've never read any studies about this!? "

" For the woman with Stage 3 - I also was diagnosed with Stage 3 in March. I have completed 2 rounds of chemo and 25 days of radiation (this after surgery). I am feeling fine and hear from my doctor that we, Stage 3'ers, have about 60% chance to make it to 5 yrs. To increase our chance for survival, exercise at least 30 minutes 6x week, cut back on the white flour and all sugar. Do yoga, meditation, relaxation. Stay positive. I am confident that we will beat the statistics.

" I was diagnosed at the age of 29 with uterine cancer, We had been trying to have a family for years, We had done fertility drugs, hormones taking temps. U name we tried it... On top of that I also had endometriosis, after a couple years of resting from all the experimental treatments we went back to the Dr. she did a D&C and the cancer was found. within 3 weeks I had to have a full Hysterectomy. I did this with a heavy heart but we both knew that I really did not have a choice, my Dr. sent me to a cancer specialist so she knew I was having the best treatment. This Januaryb was 6 years of being cancer free and thru all of this heart ache we have been blessed with the adoption of our Beautiful daughter... So keepm your head up and somewhere in all that darkness there is a light at the end of that tunnel.... "
