how do all of you get through the work day? I am very self conscious and am afraid that people will see that I am wearing protection. Also is cloth better than disposable?.

Hey.....work has been terrifying for me too. I feel like everyone is going to find out & I hate it so much. I have no idea which one is better, I've only tried one..

I just do not think about it. For the most part you are the only one who knows your are wearing protection. Co-workers do not pay attention to what you have on under your clothes. The less you draw attention to yourself and act like normal doing your job. I have found cloth works best for me, because it is too difficult to change disposable at work and I disposable will not get me through the day. The only way work will know is if your has wet pants. Always hold your head up and take care of your needs.

I agree with diapereds.. totally. As long as you don't make a point to the fact you are wearing protection...basically who cares. Before I went on dissabilaty, I drove a 18 wheeler all across the country and you would be suprised how many truck drivers wear protection. As long as you do not make a point to draw attention to yourself nobody will really ever know but yourself.
Good luck, take care of yourself and do not worry about what others may suspect. Get on with living the best you can. I personally wear cloth diapers.

I choose to not concentrate on it. No one really cares what I am wearing under my work clothes.
I wear disposables to work because it is easier to carry them with me. All other times I wear cloth.

Hi, i have the same fears. mine is that A) someone will notice that I'm wearing some sort of protection & B) that someone will be leaning over my desk discussing something and catch a whif of urine.
This is currently preventing me from getting a job. The anxiety of it really puts me down most days. I'm currently mildly self-employed, just went through a divorce, and have a child. I need to get a job in my field that I have experience in to support myself and my child, which means working around a lot of single young people in marketing. you know, the types that notice stupid things like that. I'm scared to death of having to work around people again, as my problem has gotten noticeably worse in the past year. I wish I could just work solo somewhere doing something. self employment kinda sucks and doesn't fit my personality. any words of wisdom?

John09, you can not hide away from the world around you. If you need to support yourself then you need to get out there working. Honestly no matter how closely you work with other individuals professional or non-professional others will not notice. I work in a professional field and just go about my day. Use light protection enough to make sure you will not have wet pants and change a couple times during your work day. Dress in clothing slightly larger then your normal size and wear sprots coats and suit jackets look professional and act the same way. If someone is studying you so closely to learn what you have under your clothes then there is a big problem with that person. All things are managable and all ways hold your head up. Look others in the eye and they will look you in the eye. Good luck

First of all, you need to come to the understanding that needing to wear diapers isn't the problem - in fact, it is the SOLUTION to your incontinence. What is the problem is your attitude about diapers. You need to accept them as part of who you are and see them as something that should give you confidence, not fear.
Good luck - there are more important things to worry about in life than the type of underpants you wear.
