hi. my bladder issues are caused by and made worse by my disability. i've been in adult diapers since i was 14. i have tried the pads, the diaper matress pads, the form-fitting diapers (the kind with tape),andthe pull-up diapers. at school, i'd switch back and forth between the taped diapers and the pull-up ones. i'd need help then only because of time. i'd have an accident in the middle of class, call my aide, change, and rush back to class.

now i only need help when i'm REALLY sick. the taped ones are difficult-especially if you're trying to hang on to the sink while changing.

you may want to try switching to the pull up kind and see if that works better.

I have problems changing myself at times, especially if I am tired. My husband elps me with this.

Thanks for your thoughts. My mums now got a changing mat for me. It looks so silly it does Its for andult babbies. Its the only one mum could find that fit me cosy and dry .com Where she got it from.

I was in the emregency room last week was realy sick and could barely move. My nurse came in and it was the first time i have ever had them check to see if i was wet which i was and she was realy comforting and said she was going to change me I felt realy awkward but too week to say anything...I guess it is something i will have to get used too I know one day that bridge will be crossed again but she was realy supportive and reasuring so it was not as bad as i thought it would be.
