I am 17 weeks with twins and have been experiencing growing pubic bone soreness. I kn ow from my first 2 pregnancies that this is cartlage softening and bones rubbing against each other, but it's also the body getting ready for labor. I don't know if it's normal for it to happen this soon or if this could be a warning sign that I may be at risk for going into labor way early... Anybody dealt with this?

" My OB said that all my aches and pains are common in twin pregnancies b/c you are just growing so exponentially. Everything is going to come sooner b/c your body is trying to adjust to having two babies in there. I wouldnt worry. Our bodies are working overtime making room for our two :). "

" When I was that far along with my daughter I remember having a lot of hip soreness and side soreness...and my OB said it was normal..just the body moving and shifting a bit to accomodate the baby. Your body has 2 babies in it and you've never had 2 at once...you have more moving to do and more room to make in there...the body knows what to do...I don't think it means early labor..but maybe your OB can discuss it with you over the phone and put you at ease.
