I NEED HELP REGARDING NERVE BLOCKS

Has anyone had a nerve block consisting of a mixture of STEROIDS and CORTAZONE (sp?) I feel a little better but am in no way pain free. As I'm understanding, it takes some time for the meds to do the job. What do you all think? Is that normal?.

Has anyone has any success with any kind of nerve block injections?
I am desperate for answers. I want to get relief so badly.
Blessings, T

" Hi Judelew, thanks for replying. Sorry you have had little relief with the injections. Lord knows you need relief.

Well, I had an injection by a specialist. It didn't fully kick in till day 2. I felt no pain at all, it was heaven, but, short lived. By day's end the torture was back. I can't begin to tell you the disappointment and desperation I feel. Well, actually I can, you know all too well the hellish pain. I go back Nov. 9th for more injections. Maybe these will take. I pray you somehow find relief soon. Blessings, T "

" I have had none of these. I actually have had TN for many years off and on, and was on meds, had Gamma Knife, accupuncture which has actually made me pain free for 2 years. However a couple of weeks ago I had an episode that was the worst I have ever had, so I put myself back on my meds, but still continue to see my accupuncturist. My last step will be to have MVD, which I have put off, but I don't want to live with this for the rest of my life!! Try accupuncture and see if it may help you.
God Bless, LaneB "

" Hi, thanks so much for replying. I hate so much to hear that you are suffering. I am new to TN, 6 months now. It's amazing that accupuncture can help TN. It's so wonderful you had 2 years of no pain! I will be praying you find relief very soon. Blessing to you, T "
