Yep, not many people stick with it. It is too painful (topically I tried it) . Especially when you accidentally rub it in your eyes! I can't touch my cheek to rub anything on it now anyways because it is a horrible trigger for constant pain for hours.
There have been other discussions here about other topical lotions like morphine which sounded very interesting. There is a post by Jady down below called "something to try for neuropathic pain" which lists a bunch of different lotions that were given to her by her doctor that seem a lot more effective than capsaicin.
