Man, I don't think I've pulled this much since middle school. Or maybe never. I've always had a few, even as little as enough so I could count them, but now, I've pulled to where my false eyelashes aren't really secure. Great! I finally have a job interview on Monday for a job I really hope to get. What if someone notices. How embarrassing it could be. I hope no one makes me laugh hard enough to have tears running. I'll have more than tears running down my face. I know better than to let this happen. I have Latiesse and NAC 600. No need really for the NAC, because I truly have nothing left to pull. Hope I don't start on the bottom lashes or eyebrows. This is all I have left. Just venting. I'm sure I'm not the only one, which is why I am soooo thankful I have found this sight. All of you guys are such great people! Wish we weren't so ashamed of our problem and we could see where each of us lives and meet for drinks or something. I would be willing.

" I would absolutely meet you for drinks -- but I'm on the east coast!

I am sorry you've had such a bad relapse. And right before your job interview, too.

But I believe you can make it through very well anyway -- sigh, we're pros at covering up, after all, right?

I'm sorry I don't have any hands-on advice.

Just wanted to wish you good luck. "

" Thanks so much! They will grow back. Wish I hadn't put myself in this situation. Oh well, it's not like I haven't been here before, right? They were basically all grown out! Hopefully, the Latiesse will work it's magic and quickly. Thanks again. "

" Why do you think you pulled? Worried about the interview? What barriers do you have? Are you USING them?

Best of luck on getting the job. ((HUGS)) "

" I have never used barriers, but after reading what others do/use, I think it's a great way for me to go. I seem to only pull while on the phone or trying to go to sleep. The pulling the other day the minute I woke up, was a first for me. It's as if it's worse. It would take an hour to just type all of the things I've been dealing with lately, so needless to say, I am under a GREAT deal of stress. I am back at my mothers now, and since May (I have been back and forth here a couple of times) I seem to be more relaxed and that's when I don't pull and I have growth. I'm currently 2 days pull free. I mentally think I can do it without barriers. We'll see. "

" Barriers definitely might work...the toughest part is resisting the urge to remove the barriers, though. If you're talking on the phone, maybe you can try squeezing a koosh ball or bean bag sack with your free hand? I pull my hair when I'm on the computer, and I keep a large sack on my lap and play with it instead of pulling. You could also try wearing soft comfy gloves...my problem with that was that I'd end up taking off the gloves, but I hear it works for other people.

Did the NAC help you? I hadn't even heard of it before now. "

" I have only taken one pill. You are suppose to take alot of vitamin C along with it to prevent kidney stones. I still need to purchase some. I read a post where the guy had only taken it for a week and got kidney stones. I can't go through that, so I'm waiting until I go to the store. I'll keep you posted though when I do. You can find the thread here and read all about it. Several post are there by people taking it. Good luck with it. And thanks for the advice. "

" Ooh, that's kind of scary. I don't like the idea of taking non-prescription supplements most of the time because, unlike FDA approved treatments, it's hard to know that the side effects will be if it hasn't been studied enough. That being said, I hate Big Pharma, and I know that there are a lot of good supplements out there that probably work but aren't studied enough because of $$$. Still, I don't want to take the risk.

(This is kind of off-topic, but man I hate it when people start talking about "natural" remedies for various ailments. Um hello, those "natural" products are all made of chemcals as well? How else do they work (if they really do)? You know what else is natural? Poisons and toxins. LOL.) "

" Funny you say this. I went to drug.com and put all of the Rx meds and the supplements together to see if there were any interactions with eachother, and there were none with NAC except for inhalers. I also take a Hair, Skin & Nail supplement that has Biotin in it which promotes hair growth. I can honestly say that when I take prenatal vitamins and the Biotin everyday, I see a rapid growth in my eyelashes. I think I will add the NAC along with the Latiesse I have purchased, and pray for a full set of lashes. But I totally get what you are saying. It's scary. I'll keep posting my progress. If you get a chance, look at my friends and look at SueCee. She has pulled for over 40 yrs. and has used Latiesse since June. She is so excited. Check it out. "

" I would love to meet you, Good luck with the interview, maybe thats why you have been pulling more. I seem to do that when I have a special event or evening out when I really would like to look good, but I spoil things by pulling my eyebrows and hair.

I hat myself for doing this but its a vicious circle that I cant seem to get out off. Good luck and I am sure you look great and no one will notice. "
