" I have a very oily scalp in the places where I pull too and the only thing that has helped me is to wash my hair daily with either Nizoral shampoo or a shampoo with salicylic acid (I use Collective Wellbeing Flake Fighter).

Both of these are for dandruff (which I don't have) but have helped me tremendously. If I go for more than one day without washing, though, my pulling gets worse.

I've posted a few other things in my journal if you want to take a look and feel free to ask me questions about any of it. "

" I just picked up Nioxin (System 1) yesterday and so far it has removed the itchiness. What has worked best for me is using Vitamin E oil (just the kind you pick up in a drug store in the vitamins section) to the areas that are irritated. I leave it on overnight and then wash it out in the morning. I know this is adding oil but it is also healing. "
