Just joined Daily Strength, and already it's very helpful.

I'm 16, and have had Trich since I was 9.

I suffer from Trich where I pull out my eyelashes, and on bad days, my eyebrows.

I'm taking a lot of challenging college courses in High School right now, which are quite stressing, but I don't plan to quit.

Mostly, does anyone have a good place for me to start in stopping to pick? I have absolutely no eyelashes, and barely any eyebrows...
Any beginning goals? I really just don't know what to do first.

" just take it one day at a time. if it was a good day (little to no pulling), recognize your progress. give yourself a little reward. whatever it takes! if it was a bad day, try to shake it off. remember that every makes mistakes. just get back to it!

" The best 'place' to start is to not doing the pulling action anywhere. I know that sounds impossible but it can be done.

Go out to the Discussion area and look for the post titled Stop Pulling Tips. You will find lots of ideas to help keep your hands busy and away from your pulling areas.

There are many types of barriers to use so that if you should reach you can't feel the hair such as light cotton gloves, putting tape/bandaids on your fingers. When you get that itch/urge lay down with a cool cloth on your eyes for a few minutes. Using baby or mineral oil at night to help make the hairs feel softer.

The first step is to become AWARE of your hands. Don't touch the hairs at all so you aren't tempted to get "that one" that feels out of place. Don't let yourself get into that trance stage. You have to USE your tools and barriers ALL the time.
