I am curious about my daughter who is 5. Within the last year she has had a couple fo different ticks she is displaying. I don't know if it is tourettes or something else. My husband had it when he was younger so I am not sure if that is what it is. Can someone please help me.

" It could be TS, or it could be tics that will be outgrown in a short time. Your best bet is to have it checked out. Make an appointment for her pediatrician and go from there. If it is possibly TS, you want to be ahead of the game in case there are underlying issues like ADHD, OCD, etc., which are common co-morbids of TS. The fact that your husband had it makes it very possible that she does too, as it's known to be hereditary.

Your kids are adorable in that photo! "
