During the day tell her when she is going to grind her teeth to bite down on her tounge rather then teeth on teeth contact. Of course don't bite the heck out of her tounge but rather then grinding the teeth the teeth will be hitting the tounge and stopping that contact and the sore jaw. But for at night she will need to wear that mouth gaurd. There is no other way to stop night grinding unless you wear the mouth gaurd.
