I'm curious about people's experience with this device. I've been grinding for years, hate my mouth guard and have just started to experience jaw pain during the day.

" I have an NTI-tss device and I love it. It's not like the usual large mouthguard, it fits right over your 2 front teeth. Also, my dentist pointed out that with the full mouthguard, you are still grinding your teeth and clenching your jaw, it's just that the guard protects your teeth from wearing. But the NTI-tss is designed to eliminate the clenching altogether, so not only are headaches eliminated but so is jaw tension and ultimately, with luck, your brain's habit of wanting to clench your jaw at night will be broken. " I also use this device and absolutely would recommend it. It is costly, but it is well worth it. It is comfortable to wear to sleep, since it only fits on your 2 front teeth. It has eliminated my problem with grinding and has also helped with the pain I had in my neck and back that I used to suffer from--likely do to grinding at night.

You should ask your dentist about it, but mine has said that most of her patients have been more compliant with this device as opposed to the large mouthguards that she also fits people for.
It seems a little bit nerve racking because you feel like you could swallow the device since it is so small, but it is fitted to your teeth and you won't need to worry.

Good luck "

" i had the inventor make me 2 of these things at a headache clinic. it caused me a great deal of pain. i would wake up to being so clenched on it with my jawjoints feeling like they were coming out of my ears, then for 2 weeks after had a constant headache like knives being stuck in my ears. "

" I initially had success with the NTI device and it helped reduce the duration and frequency of my headaches. But after a while, I bit through it and had to get another one. Long story short, I bit through two others and decided it was not going to work for me. They are very expensive and until they come out with one strong enough, I will be unable to use it. Though, I don't think my experience is the norm, because my dentist said he has never seen anybody bite through the device like I have. "

" My wife had one of these made and has had great success with reducing her migraines. She loves it because it's smaller and more comfortable than a full mouthguard. We found out about it on www.theheadacheremedy.com We printed off the instructions and took them to our dentist and that's about it. Very simple process. Great Product! "

" I will quickly intro myself, I'm a Dental technician, who has personally suffered with bruxism and severe tooth wear for most of my adult life. I now run a laboratory (in the UK) that sell and make NTI-tss as well as many other splints to help sufferers of TMD, Headaches, Teeth Clenchinig, grinding and Occlusion related problems.
My own NTI-tss works a treat, and compliance is much better than with the full mouth appliances. If anyone has any questions about Splints or NTI-tss I would be very happy to offer my humble advice. "

" This device didn't work for me. I was still grinding my teeth while wearing the NTI. The orthodontist/prosthodontist fitted me a nightguard free of charge afterwards. "
