Time to say goodbye

Hello all
I've arrived at the point that I've longed for but feared might never happen: To cut to the chase: My T has reduced to the point where it no longer has any negative impact on my daily life. It's been like this for over 6 weeks now, but I've been holding off my goodbye in case I was just getting lucky. This board has been absolutely amazing. The support has been fantastic from so many of you. I just hope that my own story provides some hope to the many, many new T sufferers who join this board every week. To re-cap, I developed ear-splitting T from a diving accident 13 months ago. I have gone from thinking that I would never be able to cope and with T dominating every part of my life, to the point where I might notice my T just 2 or 3 times a day and even then my reaction is neutral. I've posted the details of the particular tinnitus therapy I've been on below. I don't want to sell this particular course I've been on as being any better than any other, but I do think that embarking on some form of structured therapy seems to be the best hope for all of us right now. I was super lucky to receive my therapy (MBCT) on the British NHS for free. Links to my story below. Thanks again to all of you for being so supportive. I know that your own cure is out there too. Congratulations, Jason. I find tinnitus very unpredictable but any good stretch of better dealing with it, whether it be a week, a month, a decade or the rest of your days, is a wonderful thing. Take care of the ears and take care of youself. Thanks for the efforts and sharing your experiences with others.

Jason, well done you !!
There's no reason at all to assume that this is it for good now. You have reached that all important point where it no longer has any meaning or effect on your every day life. Great stuff. This will really help new members who come to the board suffering and not knowing which way to turn. Good luck Jason in all you do. Mandy

Congrats Jason!!! The truth is that even we will miss you, none of us want to see you here for the rest of your life!! In a very good way too, is like you got out of prison and now you are free... I am even dropping some tears because I think of all the struggle of the members in this forum, and knowing at least one escaped is very encouraging... God Bless you immensely!!!
