BAD MISTAKE! The newer stuff is terrible! For me it made me very paranoid and just made me that much more aware of my tinnitus. Simply could not wait for the "high" to wear off. I simply don't know how anyone could enjoy todays pot. I wished it would have worked cause any benzo does nothing for me.
Since coffee reduces my T (or at least keeps it at the samelevel all day), I tried some Ritalin. It didn't do a darn thing for my T and didn't seem to affect me in the least.
My advice is the same to all... avoid nitrates, phosphates, salicytates, glutamates, and sulphites!!! Sorry - they are in almost everything - but you can keep your levels low.. my T is 0-2 at the worst... if i go crazy and eat all the stuff without reading the ingredients or caring? Full blown T-suicidal level within 2 days again.. and trust me this works (for me at least) it's been more than six months and i only had one spikey week from Wendys.. stay the hell away from Wendys.. OR.. eat wendys and if you spike.. you'll know i'm onto something for you too.
One more thing.. my aunt turned 90 today and we talked about tinnitus cuz my uncle just got it.. she had it also.. it went away she said after what she said was a long long long while.. years.. just realized one day it was not around.. so it ain't just me folks.. i have spoken to multiple people who've gotten rid of the ringing but mostly they don't know why.. i think its because like me they started to eat healthier in general because that sort of makes logical sense and with T a lot of people see their mortality for the first time and so change habits... anyhow message me if you're are incredulous or just going crazy and have any questions.... i show up now and then to help people when i think of my brother who died last year of a heart attack.. wish i could help him.. at least i can help you all..
ONE stupid hamburger from a fast-food joint (a low-end local diner type of place) a few nights ago.. .I KNEW I ShOULDN'T HAVE (!!!).. got me going for 2-3 days.. it's just subsiding now.
Everytime that happens i get terrified it won't go away again.. but it does... i can imagine how skeptical people might feel because i think it was 2-3 weeks of only eating chicken breast at home with no sauce and apple juice.. total detox.. that i began to see massive improvements.. . that's hard to fathom if you are working etc.. i was at home unemployed so i had a good opportunity.. and i have no kids nor wife to mess up my schedule or yell in my ears etc.. i don't think i'd be able to do it now that i'm working for example because that why i tend to screw up nowadays.. working hard.. you just want to grab and eat whatever there is.. and salad does not sound delicious after 8 hours of stressful work...
anyhow i'm high as a kite now as always and it never got me focussed on the tinnitus.... EXCEPT when i first got it... during that ultra-depressing panic state smoking was taking me places my soul would rather not remember... i do remember thinking a train was coming out of my mind and physically going to smash out my brain from the inside-out. I had the ringing but i had a massive huge loud all-encompassing ROOOAR as well.. now i have that too but barely audible.. i can sometime hear at night.
I also have a clicking sound in my good ear that i hear some nights!! very very very tiny... like a nail hitting a nail... it's weird...
anyhow.. ALL of these phenomena dissapear when i eat just the basics without any packaged or fast food for a few weeks... also strawberries and natural foods with natural salcitates.. strawberries were screwing my up for MONTHS.. i didn't undersand what was making my ears crazy.. it was that. .maybe also what they spray on it? I don't know.. but i would say stay away from berries... isn't there a charicature of people picking berries with a haze around their head? I remember that from childhood or it could be a false memory... but something about picking berries and dizzy.. anyhow.. strawberries.. salicytates.. bad.
Everyone reacts to marijuana differently but if you are going to try it, I highly(no pun intended) recommend you make sure it's Indica or Indica dominant. Unfortunately, you usually don't know if you get it from a friend. But if you have a bad experience or get the "noids" it's probably Sativa.
Because I am a heavy thinker, and I dont really enjoy the high effects, I smoke a little immediately before I go to bed. It does relax me and I do sleep through the night, broken, but thats always been my norm.
Like all medicines, trial and error are best. It may or may not work for you. It never has had any effect on my actual T level.
The only difference between the 2 is you needed less Columbian to catch a buzz than Mexican. It was $25 a bag and sort of hard to find. This is where I got confused about benzo's such as the Xanax and Clonazepam.
I thought surely since you needed a prescription to get them they would relax me like the pot did. They don't even come close. For me they do nothing. Plus you can get hooked on benzo's but for me pot back then you did not get hooked on it.
What pot did back then that was very beneficial was it got you a great nights sleep and you woke up and felt very refreshed unlike alcohol where you feel like crap. If I could get the type of pot that was sold all those years ago I really think it would help me with my tinnitus. It did what any benzo should do.
Relax the heck out of you. Another benefit from the pot back then? Yes you could eat 20 tacos from Taco Johns(I'm proof that can be done!)but sex with the wife was incredible. I sure wish they would legalize that type of pot here in Iowa!
I smoke pot fairly regularly for that reason - it energizes and helps me engage with the the things that interest me - music mostly in my case. And since the T directly interferes with my enjoyment of playing and listening, I really need help.
I think of T having a 'gravitational pull' for me - I need a booster to help escape it, otherwise I just get pulled into listening to it which is really depressing.
I also take Ritalin for the same reason, though I also have ADD symptoms anyways. But again, this helps me ignore the T and get involved in my life.
As to whether pot make T better or worse, I'd say no to making it better, and sometimes seems to make it louder. But so does stress, caffeine (maybe), screaming kids, sugar.
Staying engaged with life is the only answer I've found and T sure makes that harder.
Do whatever works for you.
