Well, the kids are back at school and I am trying desperately to get back to my school routine as opposed to the summer routine.
I'm behind on my Ministerial Counseling Accrediation and my plaques and my Discipleship Course at church. I'm looking for a way to make some $$$$$ as things are going up, I know no one but me has noticed this, lol, and Disability will raise its deductible in Jan 2010 but NO COST OF LIVING RAISE so I will be further in the hole. At what point does the hole become a grave? LOL I'm not sure, but I'm either going to hit the center of the earth or oil, no, in WV, it would be coal. That would bring in some bucks, yes? I really would like to give my plaques a whirl selling online as some friends are pushing me to do but my family, altho they agree I should do more of my plaques & artwork, they won't leave me ALONE to do this. There, my dear peeps, is the conundrom. If I were to work outside the house at a job, if I were able, and if I could locate one, etc., I would at least be left alone to get a job done where I could earn some $$$$. However, I fear this may set off my CFS, FM, Dystonia, etc. and incapcitate me more so. That's why I was leaning towards the plaques. If I'm having a good day, do some, if not, none for the day. I guess there is no "REAL" way to know if I can do the plaques on line and get some dough coming in except to give it a try. I suppose I could do some very general type, which has not been my style in the past if you look at my pics aptly labeled PLAQUE. But I suppose I could also offer "speciality" plaques as well. OK, HONEST OPINIONS. I'm hearing E-BAY.com and ETSY.com as possibilities. Posted on 09/03/09, 06:09 pm |

Dear FIC,
When you said you are "trying desperately to get back to my school routine," do you mean that you are going to school as well? Does being "behind on my Ministerial Counseling Accreditation" mean that you are a counselor or are planning to be one? If that is so, I think that is a wonderful thing. In order to make some money now, perhaps selling your plaques online would be a way to go. . .Something that is going through my mind as I am typing this is "first things, first." I hope these words help you. . . I know what it is like to be on disability as well, and be on a limited income. I have a part-time job, however sometimes things can still be tight. I wonder myself what to do to earn extra income. (just to let you know there are others who share your burden.) You are in my thoughts and prayers as you decide what to do.

JOAN 93 - Hey, you may want to check out www.cafemom.com as they have legit work at home things. I know I'm going there and following the advice I get. There's another site that is also legit www.reallyworkingfromhome.com which you may look at.
My gal pal suggest couponing but that hasn't worked for me in the past but I suppose I will be trying it again...... Yes, both my kids are in school as well as I. The Ministerial Counseling Accreditation I LOVE DOING! I also am in a Discipleship Course at my church, which I love doing. Before my life went "nuts", I would arise at about 4:30 or 5 am, study, get the kids up at 5:45 am and out the door to the bus by 6:30 am. Not busy at all, eh? But then my health took a serious downturn in March09 when my best friend's husband passed and I suppose now, my body is just beginning to re-coup. Then BAM, her brother passed. She & I are very close as we grew up together so her family is like mine. It really caused all my health issues to flare with a vengeance. So now I am trying to get back to all my things...studying 2 courses, doing the plaques and my own individual Bible study on the book of Job for right now. Add to that the wife/mom stuff. Hope this isn't overload. Hope the two sites help.

Hi FIC,
I appreciate your openness in sharing about your life; I don't consider it "overload." You have many things going on, I can see why you chose "Time Management" as one of your support groups. I still have a long way to go as far as attempting and completing tasks. You've mentioned the Bible and church, so I hope it is okay to share a scripture. One that is coming to mind is - "acknowledge the Lord in all your ways and He will direct your paths." I'm not saying I do this as frequently as I'd like to; however, when I do - things fall into place for me much better. . .Also, my heart goes out to you over the loss of your friend's family. Having a good friend you've known for years is like having more family. . .I was wondering if you are part of the Daily Prayer group here on DS? I've gone on it some, and find comfort in knowing that there are others out there praying for me when I need it. And by the way, my part-time job is working in an after school program. The children are great, however, I don't believe it is what I want to do with the rest of my life. Enough about me, I pray you get settled in your routine soon. Until next time. . .

Dear Joan - was just chuckling.....I have ALWAYS been in mgmt, accounting, auditing, taxes, computer set, maintenance & training, designing spreadsheets with formulas & algorithms, you know, "nerd" stuff. LOL Anyway, had an opportunity I thought golden to do 2 days a week at a job similar to the above but really prayed about it. Yes, God slammed the door tight! LOL I thank Him for that.
I've always HATED that type of work, am very good at it, 97-99% accurate per our state audits from prior jobs, but hated it. I've always loved art but went into the other line because it put food on the table. I KNOW God will care for me and supply my needs...HE PROMISED. It's just being my "accountant" personality I want to know what funds are coming, from where, when, etc. Of course, God doesn't work like that, now does He? ROFLOL Reminds me of a story about a little boy who went to Sunday school and the lesson was on Moses parting the Red Sea. His mom asked what he learned in Sunday school. He said "nothing". She said, "Surely, you had to learn something." He then told her, "Well, you see, there was this guy named, Moses, and he was leading a big bunch of people in the desert to a place that was supposed to be really nice when they came to this huge river so they had to stop traveling to build a bridge to get to the good side of the river." His mom's mouth fell open, and replied...."THAT's WHAT YOU LEARNED IN SUNDAY SCHOOL?" He said, "No, but if I told you the story they told me, you'd never believe it." ROFLOL You have to love kids.
