when it comes to time managment i seem to have a problem alowing enough time for certain things over others, when the others are just as important. for example, if im taking an advanced class compared to general class, i try to perfect the assignments in that class, instead of just speeding through it, even though the other 5 subjects are just as important. then at the end of the day, i barely finish the one subject, let alone the other 5 subjects. Another example, chores. i do the dishes like the dishwasher doesnt exist, and it takes forever. i could be doing so much more with the time i spend on them

so basically what i'm asking which tasks do i need to devote all my time and effort into and which ones can i give mediocre time/effort?

thanks in advance

" I find that my tendency is to do what gives me comfort. Repetitive tasks that I can do efficiently and well are fun. It is easy to avoid anything difficult at work, because it takes more time and the outcome is unknown...In my opinion, quality always counts which is why some things take me forever to begin and finish. Your question is a good one, and it probably requires detail and alot of brainstorming to come to specific prioritizing. By the way, happy 4th!! "

" Look at your life 10 yrs from now.....what will you want to have done.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS PERFECT so why strain on the dishes? Go with paper plates or use the dishwasher. Actually, your problem may not be time so much as perfectionism. Search deeply. Believe me....been there, done it, and it's over-rated. No one but me noticed that I had applied floor wax equally over all the flooring. Yes, that's true!

Do the best and move on. Set a timer for a project, like a two page paper. Break it down into x amount of time for research and then no more. x amount of time for writing and then no more. "

" I got through fine with mediocre effort for my regular classes. But tried mediocre effort on my honors class and did horrible. So I would say the advanced classes definitely deserve more time.
I agree with FIC. Use paper or plastic plates. I don't have a dishwasher but if you do I would use it. It really does save time. "
