I am so excited. My voice is back! I can talk without it cracking, I can yell, it is not hoarse anymore! It has been weak for seven weeks after my TT. My ENT said my left vocal cord was weak after the surgery. He said check back with him in three months. So I am so happy to say it is back!!!!!!! I am so grateful for my voice. You never know what you have until it is gone... Count your small blessings.
(side note-sometimes what I would eat, would effect my voice. Did anyone else have this problem?) Posted on 10/22/09, 05:10 pm |

Hooray! Congratulations!
I haven't noticed food affecting my voice, but when I'm tired, it gets more softly raspy. It sounds then like the hoarseness you get when you're hypo. Of course, going on two years since my surgery, I have accept that some of these changes are permanent. *sigh* I'm VERY happy for you, though! And I'm thankful for recovering as much of my voice as I have.

Congrats! My voice was only affected for a few days but swallowing pills was harder for months.
