Discussion:
Difference between TTP and ITP

About 6 months ago I was diagnosed with ITP, my platlet count at my last appointment was 60, I believe when 1st diagnosed that were saying 13 and even 9. Thought at the moment have not outward signs my buises seem to be sub dermal. I was a few months later diagnosied with MCTD as well.

What I am not sure about is the difference between the ITP and TTP, and weather or not I should be worried - I have been told that if I have to have an emergancy op I am not in as much risk as I was and but still not allowed to have my gall stone op.

So if someone could explain this in better terms than the web - I would be gratefull
