I just had A CBC on 4-30-08 and my platelet count was 316,000. I was shocked because I am on A prednisone taper. I have heard that sometimes when you taper from prednisone you can crash. I guess the Danazol I am taking is what is keeping my counts high.

" Tapering is when you slowly come off of the Prednisone. I am off of it now.
I have ITP I do not know the difference between ITP and TTP.
Oh and I feel great. I hope I never have to deal with low platelets again. Take care "

" I went to the hema today and my platelets was 316,000 and my white count along with my hemoglobin was still normal. He isn't going to be doing the ADAMTS13 anymore unless I tell him that Im experiencing symptoms of a relapse. I was on Prednisone from January 2nd (I believe) to June 27th when I was tapering down. I've been in remission since March after I had taken Rituximab (Rituxan)treatments. Take care and best wishes. "

" I am just starting out on this adventure. my platlet count was 25 I am assumeing thousand. I am 5 months pregnant, I have always had this problem, however no one ever put a name to it. They are hopefully starting me on prednisone on Monday, I go to my hemo doctor on Monday and we are going to discuss this and everything. I am sure he is going to start me on a low dose because of the baby. I am just feeling very afraid and alone. I have a 6 year old and a wonderful fiance. Just a lil about me sorry so long. "
